Actually Sam, it was meant to generate views to help this guys cause, as I PMed him awhile ago. You and Skarp are the two most polarizing people on here so I picked you two. The only reason I'm ending this is because either you or Skarp are offended. It was meant to be a joke, be interpreted that way and elicit like responses, including from you two. My humor rarely comes across well on here (anywhere?). Maybe I should use little emoticons but I hate using those Damn things.

As for my knowledge of the game of softball, I have less than the average mother of a softball parent. I have some general knowledge/experience in youth sports. Thats about it, except for opinions.

As for your knowledge of the game and to me, infinitely more important, your genuine concern for kids more than your own ego, I will publicly say that a little more than a year ago I seriously thought about having my kid try out for your team. I knew she would learn and be treated with respect and fairness. The only reason it didn't happen was that you guys are farther away than we wanted to drive. I was going to have her try out anyway to try to get some kind of useful feedback from you but I didn't want to be disingenuous and waste your time.

To you and Skarp: I sincerely, publicly apologize for my mistake. I respect both of you and consider the two of you to be the most regularly informative/interesting reads on this board.

I'm not getting trapped... The last thing i will do is engage in ego warfare between 2 members of such a respectable forum. The posters here have a solid reputation to uphold and most likely are legend in their own right (or richt?) I am a newbie, not a troll!! Ask the mod. I'm a newbie here but not a forum virgin. I frequent a number of other sites, but this is the only sports site I have found easy enough to navigate in. So........no pebble to be snatched!

Don't go to any other sites!! They all SUCK!!!

Use those sites only to advertise if anything........Other than that, they are all worthless........Everybody on this board is COOL!

We all know everything there is to know about softball so there really is no need to go anywhere else!

They are pulling your leg, Clayface, and that is a good thing.

What age group are you forming? It is different if they are 8 YOs or 16.

But you need to find 3 pitchers, or if they are little you need to find girls that are willing to take lessons. You need to find 2 catchers and hopefully those will be the girls that drag in their bags full of equipment.

Then, you need to make sure that those 5 girls can and will play different positions.

But, again I don't know what age group you are.
