Got two well timed shots at Metros this past weekend at Roseville, but didn't realize it until going thru the photos last night.
On the first pitch, it was this:

On the very next pitch, I got this one, although I obviously didn't let the camera adjust before squeezing the shot. Note the flat-spotted ball - this one went about 175 - right into F8's glove... Best shots are always the ones that weren't set up right!

For those of you comparing settings, these were single shot photos - not continuous - taken from about 150' away. (Zoom was around 150mm)
1/3200@F9 - ISO800 using a 40D with an f4-5.6 / 75-300 non IS (CHEAP) Canon zoom lens.
(-1/3 on the exposure compensation)
Have not done any post-work on the photos yet, other than to crop the second shot a bit.
Would be nice to see when someone posts photos, what settings were used. It may be helpful for others when trying to set things up...
