I don't think it's definitely.
Her finger is on the bag.
Maybe she was waiting for the ump to call time out so she could get up, and the defensive player was holding the glove on her...
regardless, nice action shots.
Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.

Looks like her finger is not touching the base to me, so waiting for the blue to call time or not, she looks out.. at least to my eyes, which by all means are not always the best..

Just because the defender is holding the glove there doesn't necessarily mean there is a ball in it. Body language says there is but we don't know that. It could be on the ground behind the runner.
