I don't think that the public realizes how difficult it is being on the olympic team. My friends here at U of A that know Jenny, saw her last week in CA. Jenny said that she hadn't seen her young son in 30 days and I don't know how long it had been since she had seen her husband. I can't imagine.

There were also general comments about the conditions in China, that left me with a big "yuck feeling."

China is no more prepared for the olympics than I am for it to occur in my front yard.
