In that situation you better get the bat of your shoulder and do something with a pitch that close
That's one heck of a curve if it hit the strike zone because it is being caught a foot outside ... almost in the other batters box ... I say its bases loaded, full count, 2 outs ...

You beat me to it. Dad's point is well taken. Golden opportunity, close game, the cost of failure here is huge. OTOH, how close is close? This pitch is well inside the opposite batter's box, about a foot off the plate. That's a 3.5ft zone.

As a hitters Dad & Coach ... if she looks at it and it's called a strike ( I'm pissed)... If she looks at it and it's a ball ( Good Eye! ) ... if she swings and misses at a ball off the plate in that situation ( I'm pissed ) ... if she takes it the other way for a 3 RBI double ( I'm buying the ice cream ! )
