Nice pics

In the first 2, are those all leaves on the ground? Thank god, we don't have fall here in Southern California. And what is that thing right behind the pitching plate??? Looks like it could get in the way

Yes those are leaves. Not sure the last time the field was dragged. We have not had rain for about a month and the trees are losing their leaves earlier than normal.

That thing behind the pitchers plate is an electrical cord for the pitching machine for machine pitch. Not the best set-up in the world. It could be very dangerous. This is a REC field that we play fall ball on.

Funny anouncer jokes:

Man, her fastball is electric

She is just smokin them

Susie is on fire

sorry couldn't resist ;)

I have seen every coach in this fall ball league go out to that cord to try and figure out how to make it go away. It comes out of the ground and you cannot disconnect it. At our REC fields (3rd and 4th pics) we have outlets in the ground with a plastic cover over it.

By the way, I went outside to blow my driveway off (leaves everywhere) and I started laughing to myself. I have been to SoCal many times and realized that people from there would say what's the big deal for not having rain for a month. We are way behind with our normal rain amounts. The grass is crisp and the trees are hurting.
