Cant they put a box with a lid and sink it in the ground, like they do for the sprinklers for the fields

I agree that something should be done but I don't have any control of that field. I take care of the field in pictures 5 and 6. I would never have something like that on a field I am responsible for.

We are back on that field tonight. I was thinking about that electrical cord and realized that in KY last year high school allowed metal cleats. That makes that cord very, very dangerous. Tonight I will find out if the power is turned off before I let any of my players pitch.
On another note my DD was clocked Sunday and was devastated that she was only throwing 58. In her mind she knew she was throwing 60. I had to try and explain that she had played 3 games that day (pitched 9 innings 17K's) and she warmed up for more than a half hour before being clocked. She has gained 10 MPH in a year. It's amazing what happens when you grow from 5' 1" to 5' 7" in a year.

Only I would set up everyone with a line like that!
