I have mine on their toes, and off their heals. I dont know why this seams so natural for boys and almost foriegn to girls.

You might want to talk to her coach and have her:
A) move back
B) be creeping towards the batter during the pitch
C) move a crossover step from the line....she is defending foul territory.
She looks very athletic....I think she could get to a bunt very quickly from 45-40 feet in lieu of 30 feet. Defending from 45-50 feet will increase her range.

I noticed the fielder's position, too - but maybe the batter fouls off or line drives that direction repeatedly. If that is the case, the 3rd base coach is going to get drilled by both the ball and the fielder.
