On behalf of Kathy Miller and the California A's I would like to thank all of you for participating this past Saturday on the first annual Peru vs Cali international games. I would like to thank all the players and parents for being great ambassadors of the game to our new friends from Peru. Thank you Coach Speedy, Coach Amie, Coach Yvette and the Punishers 99 Coaching Staff and players for helping out. A big thanks goes to Coach Jon Morinishi for making those awesome Peru vs Cali shirts for all the players and coaches.

A very special thank you goes out to a very special lady who has donated so much to the game of softball and has changed the lives of some many young ladies in a very positive way. Kathy Miller you are one of a kind !

I hope all of you enjoyed the games and the players party afterwards. Great food and drinks, incredible house, dancing with friends equals one special night.

Much Aloha,

Brian Iseri

This is a great thing. It would be nice if more international teams came here(as well as more American teams playing abroad) It is great for the game.

Double header - the high school team won 9-0 in 5 innings and 10-0 in 4 innings.
The Peru team is on the small side, and I would compare them to a lower level high school team.
But they were great sports, and they were laughing and cheering the whole day.
They are here for a couple of weeks learning how to train with various local coaches, and playing games such as these.

They are great dancers too!
One of the highlights was at the party later that night (held at an incredible mansion in Newport Beach), the Peru girls and the high school girls showing each other how they dance.
Picture a 6'3" American girl showing a bunch of 5' Peruvian girls and coaches how to do "the dougie"...

This was a really great thing that Kathy Miller and her staff did, and my kid feels very fortunate that she was asked to be a part of this event.
Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.

The girl can dance... She must get it from her mother... ;)
