2008 10u All Stars - Personally thought she should have taken one for the team, but as she explains, then we wouldn't have this great picture to talk about. I am not responsible for the picture, special thanks to Michelle for that.

That's a cool pic and would be a great idea for a photo thread.

LOL....DD took one in the bicep during a game last season......as she's coming towards me at 1st base, I'm giving her the ol' pumping fists...."good job".....

Wife and parents are in the stands oohing and aahing, asking her if she's OK?

I caught hell after the game for not rushing to get her an ice pack.

We needed a runner! :)

Isn't it funny how "Dad" always told us as youngsters to suck it up, its part of the game (baseball), its life... but when it comes to their granddaughter LOOK OUT! Get her an ice pack, a lounge chair, and bring me House MD to take a look at her. Both my DD's grandparents are very involved in all her activities so I guess I should be thankful for that which I can control!

Same here. They come to most HS games, as well as TB which is often out of state. My own mother is planned on heading down to Nationals in NC this July.....not sure I'm thrilled about that.

I'm glad she (all of my children actually) have their GPs following them around. Polar opposite of many of her team mates who can't even get a parent to show up half the time.
