Have a good action shot? Send it to us.

I am looking at this package on Ebay. My question is the lenses. Are they going to be good for action shots? I am thinking they will be slow.

Looks like a decent package. The thing you should be more concerned about is the continous shooting speed of the 50d, the 40d is 7 frames per second, the canon rebel is 3 or so, and I believe though I cant find my specs for the 50d, that it is about 3 per second. However that being said, the other issue is the init of the camera, which is very fast.

edited to add - googled the specs - the 50d continuous speed is 6.3 frames per second.

Another toy that is quite handy is a remote control, mine is a wired remote control.

Before you purchase, I recommend checking out these 2 sites.
1) http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/shop/6222 ... meras.html
2) http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare ... d&show=all

in no particular order... good luck...

http://www.komar.org/faq/camera/canon-50d-versus-40d/

It seems the 40D is 6.5 fps, and the 50D is 6.3 fps.

The thing about the 50D is I read its easier for those coming from point and shoot models to use a SLR. Supposedly the auto mode is more "auto" and things are a little more layman terms.

Obviously we will be using it alot for softball so speed is an issue.

Long story short, I spent alot of money on my R/C cars and that camera package is the result from the wife. Its actually already bought

Oh yeah, using www.live.com you can get a rebate. I have bought 2 R/C cars plus this camera package. It started at 13% and it is now at 10%/ So I saved 150+ by buying this through Ebay and using live.com to access ebay.
