Are you really under the impression that the pitcher cannot loose contact with the plate until she has released the ball?
ASA Rule 6 K.
Pushing off and dragging the pivot foot in contact with the ground is required.

THANK YOU !

Spazdad, if you saw a button on a hammer, wouldn't you push it?

1. I have a soft spot for my buddy hammer. Sometimes I gotta stick up for him.
2. my reply was directed at the the quoted poster.
3. You are obviously blond or you would know hammers don't have buttons, or batteries. That must be another "tool" you are thinking of

If I have a button it is my #1 she is a great kid as I'm sure all of your daughter's are ! Spazsdad I had a feeling you were a good guy. :D

Wow - to my private messenger- thanks for confirming my suspicions- it was pretty much obvious from the initial photo. - yours is complete confirmation. Hope her lessons are free cause if thats what he is paying for he is going to spend a fortune trying to correct it- no college team is going to tolerate it. - USFA officials are either very lenient or ignorant. - She has the potential to be so good- kinda makes me sad for her and her dad cause he is turning a blind eye to it by justifying.- Whoever you are - Good luck to you in PCB if your team is going.

LEARNING POOR TECHNIQUE AND PITCHING AT 2' LESS THE DISTANCE THAN THE REST OF
THE PITCHERS PLAYING 10U SOFTBALL.

I haven't "called out" anyone. I'm just showing her dad what he is not evidently seeing. I think the little girl could be an excellent pitcher- but she is going to get called for IP's - she did some in Lake Wood and she its going to continue if its not corrected. I don't have anything against her all - or her dad- I've never met these folks. As far as that team beating us- they absolutely won the championship game I believe a 5 to 3 win. Our girls deserved that loss for ridiculous fielding errors. The first game we played against them we won - I believe 9 to 1. We had a good game and they simply weren't hitting the ball. We both have good teams- if he takes offense to what I'm saying then I am offering a sincere apology. If you can't step back and look at whats going on from an objective perspective then you just might miss something. She can be better than she is right now by eliminating the replant. She pitches just fine without leaping.
