She usually wears a small knee guard...rarely gets abrasions from sliding. She failed to wear it that time. She slid a little too late. The base failed to break away, causing her ankle to twist. Tough kid, she stood up, tried to hustle back to the dug-out, but fell over after two steps. Happened May 31, she hopes to be back in action for June 27. The Doc will let us know on June 22 if she's cleared to go.
