What's on your mind?

by DonnieS » Mon May 05, 2008 2:54 pm

Did I miss the annoucement that metal cleats are allowable for ASA 18A and ASA 18 Gold? Saw a kid with them this weekend and was told that a new ruling had come out a couple of months ago that ok'ed it.

 And it irritates me to no end. DD forced me to buy metal for HS. Now she wants new rubber for TB. I emailed our ASA state rep and he said NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO metal cleats allowed.

Somebody is blowing smoke up your ....whatever. That would require a rule change which never got out of committee in November. For that matter, some members of the committee actually scoffed at the proposed change. Any post-convention change would have required an emergency vote of all council members via mail. To the best of my knowledge, no such action has been taken by ASA.
