Is Div 1 going to 14 scholarships?

I've heard talk that D1 will increase from 12 to 14 scholarships in the next year or so. Anyone else heard anything?

There is a reccomendation in place for NCAA Baseball to make the increase and if it was to pass for Baseball it would also pass for Softball. Not sure of when the vote is supposed to take place, but have spoke with several college coaches about it at various levels including D1 and they all have different opinions on it.

IMHO... It would benefit the top fully funded programs, but the regional schools with a smaller budget, would probably not benefit near as much from it. If you don't have any more money to offer in the first place, it doesn't matter that the rules allow you to offer more scholarships.
