Pre-Season HS Rankings out

If I'm not mistaken, last year the coach did a pretty good job calling pitches. This year, she stumbles and the coach is incompetent. I know you didnt mean that.

Our coach actually does a decent job most of the time. If he gave up his day job, he could be a good travel coach. He actually played men's fastpitch back when it was big. Our program is lucky to not be a joke, like I hear so much about at other schools. I do hear alot of jokes from girls we play travel with about coaches and pitch calling.

Even with someone who know what they are doing, the initial change from travel coach to HS coach is a bit of an adjustment. I tell my DD that by the end of the year you will be throwing the HS coaches favorite pitches really well.

Glad to hear that when a coach helps get a team to the CIF championship and goes 30-1 he's "doing a decent job most of the time". Seems like you're setting your coach's job requirements and the necessary team achievement levels just a tad high don't you think?

Tough crowd!

Actually all the girls acted like they had never been in that big of a game before. While the outcome was disappointing, lots of girls would have loved to have been in that spot.

I am so used to playing monday morning QB with the teams for which I root, I guess I shouldn't be doing it on a national softball board with a team my DD plays on.


As long as I am issuing mea culpas, I should say that while I criticized some of the Top 50 content, I love the fact that softball is getting any coverage at all! Kuddos to Garland and ESPN for shining a light on the efforts of all these hardworking female student athletes.
