Had a discussion last night about having someone throw batting practice overhand. Most teams have a couple of pitchers who can throw, and maybe a coach or two who can do a reasonable job of pitching underhand. But if they don't happen to be at practice, or you just want to set up more hitting stations, what do you think of having someone throw overhand. Most any dad can throw 40 to 50 mph with reasonable accuracy. Some say that it's wrong because of the difference in delivery and angle. My theory is that it's still better than a pitching machine.
Please discuss.
