Make the fields bigger

Baseball fields change all the time with age. Little League for 12 year old girls and boys play at 200 feet. When they turn 13 to 14 Pony League sets the dimensions to 240 feet to center. Most High Schools have fields 300 in center with the corners vary. College even bigger than some Pro fields.

So why are girls playing on the same size fields after 12?

Softball does the same thing. At 10u, regulation fence is 150' or something. Bases at 6u and 8u are 50'. Pitching distance at 10u is 35' In high school and below 18u Gold its 40'. I don't think anyone is talking about youth play. They are talking about moving the bases back (65-70 feet) and the fences (220-240) for high school and college play. Can you imagine if this same discussion was being had to move the bases in high school or college baseball to 95 or 100 feet and the fences down the line to 400'. Ridiculous.

I don't think that anyone here will like this suggestion, but if what you really want is more offense, then what you really need to do is make the ball more lively. This is what has happened to baseball over the decades. When Ruth first came up they were basically hitting a rock.

But this would be contrary to what is happening in softball today with ASA making the bats less lively and many calls for increased safety for pitchers and the corner players.

Move the fences to 240 feet, move base paths to 80 feet, pitching mound to 45 feet and reduce the ball to 11 inches. This would be for 14u and up. The girls are bigger, stronger, and faster. The dimensions of the field should change to accomodate their atheleticism
