Ringors vs. Tanels vs. Under Armour

Need opinions. Looking for new cleats for my 12 year old DD, who is a pitcher. She drags her toe, so on her Nike cleats, I have always put on a pitcher's toe. But, now we want to step up to a better cleat. Any opinions on the 3 listed in the title? These are the only brands I can find that have a pitcher's toe built in.

Oh yeah, she is a good hitter, but not a power hitter. So we need speed to get her to 1st, then the coach usually puts in a courtesy runner, so she doesn't get the chance to get hurt on a slide.

after averaging about 4-6 weeks of cleats before holes were created in her pitching toe, we switched to ringors diamond stars with the pitching toe about 2 years ago.
each have lasted a whole season since.
this includes sunday friendlies or weekend tournaments each week, 1 or 2 practices a week, and at least one other day of pitching each week.
The inside liner usually wears out before the outside.
The diamond stars are lighter than the original ringors.
Since they last so long, she needs foot powder or spray. god help us on the drive home if she forgets...

If you are in Orange County, try Sports USA in Aliso Viejo off the 5 fwy. Kim does a great job there sizing the cleats. I think my kid gets about a half size bigger than her regular shoes.

The Ringors are probably the most durable cleat that I have seen. My kids have always either outgrown them or wore out the bottom. The shoe itself is always still okay. You do have to order a half size larger then her normal size. Having said that my daughters have both switched to Mizunos. What size does your dd wear? I have a found a couple of old pairs I was just going to get rid of. If dd is the right size (they are small) and you want to try them out pm me.

I am leanig towards Ringors, but I have read on here (and other sites) that they are heavy. The cleats she wears now are 10 oz. each. Does anybody know how heavy Ringors are, or do I need to e-mail Ringor? Her running speed is about middle of the road on her team.

DD would go through cleats every 3 months (even with the protected toe and toe goo.). We switched to Ringors and like Arto, they last at least a season maybe a little more.

We just got the new Diamond Gems. They are mesh with leather. DD has worn them for the last two weekends of friendlies and HS practice and LOVES them. Pitching coach was worried that the mesh would make the plant foot slide a little, but she has not had that problem. We will be getting the new metal spike Gems tomorrow in the HS colors. She can't wait to see how those are.

My dd's Ringors are a whole size up from what she usually wears. One thing she has said on the new Gems, they are more narrow than the other ringors. THis is good for her as her foot is slim and narrow. Not sure how that will affect the player with the wider foot. Not sure it would matter, but with the mesh, she is able to tighten them better.

I think the Diamond Stars are just under 16 oz. (per shoe).

Unfortunately, our last 3 pairs of Diamond Stars have only lasted about half a season.

My kid also went through cleats every month but she has had the Under Armour cleats since Sept and they are like new. No hole in the toe at all.
The problem for us is-was finding them in her size.

Is she a "toe drag" pitcher?

Yes. She wears a hole in the toe of every pair of tennis shoes that she uses in the cages.
She used to wear through all her other cleats too.
These Under Armours are some pretty tough shoes.
