Whats your most exciting part of the day during a tournament

What's on your mind?

by jofus » Thu Apr 03, 2008 9:32 am

I like seeing plays where you can tell the player(s) were really thinking ahead of time and knew exactly what to do. In my experience (maybe it's just the team we were involved with last year :D ) lots of girls have the physical abilities to play softball, but the mental aspect just isn't quite there sometimes (this is 12U/14U I'm thinking of).

So, when a girl, especially my DD, makes a play that is a good, smart play, whether it's on offense or defense, I really appreciate it :)
Proud fastpitch, baseball, volleyball, soccer, basketball, etc. Dad :)

Witnessing a parent being truly excited about a play that does NOT involve their DD.
"I'm the walkin dude, I can see all the world!
Twist your minds with fear, Im the man with the power.
Among the living, follow me or die!"

When it comes down to it, the best part of a tournament is just getting to watch my daughter play. After 17 years of this stuff, I never get tired of watching my kids play.

For my other-favorite part, as a T-Ball dad recently said, it's really all about the snacks!
Being from NorCal, what do I know anyway???

When you see your girls progress on the field. This let's you know that you actually are helping them achieve there goals. It can be mentally or physically. :D :D

The most exciting time of the tournament is when I see the girls smile! Because they are having a good time doing what they like to do. If the team is smiling most likely my DD is smiling and thats a good thing

Actually getting to play. We've had one tournament rained out this year and are working on 2 in a row for this weekend.
