Wally, will it out perform the RT?

CB8 - Wally started this thread in April. He's busier that a one armed paper hanger and likely won't be back any time soon. Mineki resurrected it to query about the VIP.

I can tell you that the TechZilla very slightly outperformed the RockeTech in the BBS testing, but if your DD has good mechanics and swings the RT well - no change is recommended. The TechZilla is -10 and more balanced than the -9 endloaded RT.

The VIP package is only in the single wall Pyrotechs. In the RT and TkZ it is the multi-wall design, the taper-flex taper, and the ultra thin whip handle that focus the vibration to the barrel and alleviates the sting.

Last season we tried and tried to get our DD to get comfortable with the RT but was a no go. Funny you should mention, she complained that the RT stung her hands. She struggled to adjust to the end load of the bat and finally ended up giving up on it. However, a few of the girls on the team love the RT's and still do.

This season, the team tried out a couple of TechZilla's and whamo.... took to it like a monkey in front of a head of lice. She was all over it and never looked back. The pop on this bat is unbeilable and it drives well.

I think Anderson made a smart move making the Zilla. It is obvious to me that they listened to all customers feedback and went back to the drawing board. Now this is how you make everyone happy.
