Anderson Bat co. Rochet techs and TechZillas

What's on your mind?

All this praise for the TZ leads me to believe Wally's lack of info wasn't that at all, but simply the best marketing strategy there is:

"Let the bat do the talking."

 :!: :D
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

Believe that's when the new performance limitations on composite bats will be implemented.(?)

Spazsdad is probably still on the road (or in the bar?? :o )...
He seems to know about these things and will likely inform us once he's back.

The current composite bats will not longer be allowed to be in producion beginning in July. They have not been banned, YET!! No date has been given as to when they will no longer be allowed to be used in ASA play.

I am sure that Easton and all the other composite bat companies are working on their new bats to meet the new testing standards set forth by ASA.

Do you know for sure that the Stealth and Synergy aren't going to meet ASA's ABI (accelerated break in) standards? Only ASA and the manufacturers know which composites can't be produced or sold as of 7-1-08. However, I will be surprised if the Synergy (and most other 'top-shelf' composites) can continue to be produced using their current manufacturing specs and remain compliant with ASA standards.

To answer your question, the smart Synergy lovers are planning on buying an extra (or 2 or 3) before July 1st.

ASA isn't likely to ban any of the currently legal composites. I'm more concerned that Easton (or any other manufacturer) will request a ban on some of their pre 7-1-08 models, but that's a financial risk that I'm willing to take.

I am trying to resist buying the techzilla, but Mother's Day is coming up. :D

I could get a bunch of my students using it and see how it goes.

Where's the best place to buy it?

I guess i could sell the Plasma, Evo and yellow Cat. Amy

And for those who said the graphics were hideous - remember, the beauty of the bat is in it's performance at the plate.

Just got the new Softball Sales catalogue and plastered all over the front page is: "Get em while they're hot! New ASA performance testing procedures will prevent these bats from being produced after June 30!" Pictured are the synergy, stealth, catalyst, mayhem, halo, and phenix.

Just wish I knew for sure that I'd be buying a bat that ASA won't throw out of the dugout!

TechZillas or 1oz larger? My DD loves her 32 Rochet tech but always looking
for something better, thanks

My DD is small. She could swing the 32 Rocket Tech no problem. But, with the ounce less, and even weight, the 32 Tech Zilla feels better for her. So, the answer is, we stayed with the same size, 32............
