12U STATE--cancelled for Sat. updated 5-24-08 @ 9:45am

What's on your mind?

30% chance of rain today until 6:00 pm in Hemet. How depressing is that getting ready for State for 9 months and then getting rained out in May. The 12U tourney is a 38 team 3 days deal but now with Saturday cancelled how is ASA going to get all these games in? If we get rain again today and as sloppy as the field looked yesterday when we chacked it out their is a good chance Sunday will be scratched also.

I have not heard any news about TC Quicksilver Tourney being cancelled in OC? May want to go over there and watch some games. Any news about 14U qualifier in Prescott, AZ?

We are down here playing TCS and no cancellation yet. I guess the IE got more wet?? Good luck getting such a big tourney done in two days.

thatguy your right I should be more positive but I saw that swamp yesterday. Their are people on the way to the field right now and we might have an answer by 10:00 am

Just got a phone call and they are at the fields and they said it does not look good, sorry thatguy I'm trying. Might be cancelled until next Friday. Let you all know ASAP

I was at Brookefield at 9:30 Saturday morning and two of the fields looked good, one had some standing water at 2nd base but nothing a shop vac and a broom couldn't fix easily. I have seen fields way worse than that the morning of a tournament and played. Those fields would have been playable by Sunday morning with no additional rain. But I did not see Winchester so maybe they were bad...
