It's called the "George Bush" syndrome...When you have no faith in someone and then he shocks you by doing something right you give him more credit than he deserves.
Sort of like the libs when Bush advanced his ridiculous 3-trillion dollar federal budget. Not nearly as high as they wanted to go, but still dang good!!
