12U ASA nationals brackets are out/ who's your top 10

Round Rock Blaze may be a surprise team. Lost in the HOF qualifier but fought back hard at the National qualifier and have done well since.

Travelers have been up, down, and now up again this year. They have struggled against some of the other top teams in Texas and even lost some games to easier teams. They did good in their last two tournaments and may have built back some confidence. Travelers are a good team but they have a very tough draw and it's a long way back in the losers bracket.

Kaos may also be a surprise team; they have seen the competition at the HOF and know what is in store for them so they will be well prepared.

Deer Park fights hard and will be ready and seeing the competition at the HOF; they do really well in championship play

Sneaky Cleats are always a surprise to everyone and seem to find a way to do well.

Kruzers have seen the competion for several years now and will be prepared to face the best.

Possibly Travelers if they make it past their first two California teams

California teams should do very well in Montgomery, but don't be surprised if some not so well known Texas Teams get into the mix as well. Kruzers will be fine, there game is always solid particularly on defense.
I do have a question though. Having been to previous ASA A National tournaments, why were the brackets drawn previous to pool play being completed? Pool play has determined the bracket placement in previous National Tournaments, and the pool games really meant something. Not to take anything away from the pool games in Montgomery, teams will want to play well and win those as well, but they don't really mean anything or count going into bracket play.

I agree, having been to Nationals before I am really curious as to why the pool play games mean nothing. In the past the pool play games determined where you went in the draw. Of course now we all go back to the "what if a girl gets hurt in the meaningless pool play games, why did we play them?"

Will be interesting to see if some the '96 teams placing in the top half or even top 20 -- you never know, anything is possible. CA'96, Firecrackers and PowerSurge '96 have competed against, played some very close games and even won a few against some of the best '95s around It's going to be fun giving some of these teams trouble -- too bad PowerSurge, CA'96, TNL, Team Smith, AA AND Corona Angels-Smith have to eliminate eachother in the same brackets to make the top eight.... Also, I agree with the pool play! What's the deal with that?!

Does anybody know if "Team Indiana" is "Indianda Thunder" from 10U ASA Nationals last year?

If not then is seems that the 10U ASA NAtional champions (Indiana Thunder) and the runner up(Diamonds, TX) have decided not to play ASA this year.

Why would you not use your bid to ASA Nationals? Seems strange since you earned the right to go.

The 96 Diamonds decided to go to the Us open thing in Beaumont Tx last week. Which I heard was not the place to go. Dont know why they didn't go ASA they have a good team.

Indiana Thunder is in the Northern Nationals in South Bend, IN. Guess they want to try to get a sure berth for next year instead.... Team Indiana is a '95 team from another organization.
