Premier Fields in Texas

Iwas just trying to say that a few weeks ago we signed up at Huber ranch, but the tourny didnt make because all the teams were going to play in a tourny in san marcos. Well let mee tell you , we ended up playing in san marcos because that was the only tourny that made . Well the bathrooms had to be shut down an hour in and you had to walk a half mile to the soccer fields to use the restrooms. Then they brought in a truck to pump the bathrooms and the overwhelming ,and I mean overwhelming smell made people gag and run. It was bad. So I am saying and will say again Huber ranch is like heaven compared to most of the complexes around this area.
The san marcos people said the bathrooms were so clogged it was coming up the drains in the snack bar, needless to say we ate out of coolers that weekend.
I do hope the huber ranch fields succeed because we need those kinds of places for our girls to play , maybe if more people start taking their teams there other tourny directors will step up their games and start providing a decent place . I just get tired of going to tournys and not having decent restrooms and and no field maintenance and holes in front of the pitching rubber that you need a ladder to get out of. Huber ranch at least puts in the effort to make the families and teams comfortable that pay to come and enjoy the game.

No offence taken. I did kinda sound like an infomercial. I read this site all the time but just joined so I could postcomments. everything on eteamz is just one big tryout board, and no criticisms at all. I like to read everyones real opinions not just everyone patting eachother on the back. Next time I will try to keep from sounding like an eteamzer. But for the record I still think Huber ranch ROCKS!!!!!!!!

lol...for a while if anyone mentioned "rip-it" anything on eCrap it was fully on. There were like hard-core contingents on both sides, some extolling ad nauseum the virtues of all things "rip-it" (obviously in coordinated posts), and others ripping into anyone with the temerity to even ask a question about the bat or company.

I hardly see anyone swing that bat now...I'm assuming for good reason.

I will say the fields are nicer than any other for 100 miles. I hope they succeed as well. I do hope part of the 5 phases is to add a warm up area for the teams and more parking. I would also add saftey netting from the dugouts to the outfield because a foul line drive will take someones head off. I will gladly support this complex in place of the other local fields. This is the type of fields girls should get to play on.

I do think for it to be able to draw the really big tournaments more fields is a must.

I would also add saftey netting from the dugouts to the outfield because a foul line drive will take someones head off. I will gladly support this complex in place of the other local fields. This is the type of fields girls should get to play on.

Thanks for the compliments slapper, but my partner and I coached in a lot tournaments and played in a lot of parks over the last 15 years, over 300 tournaments, going to Colorado and Florida (never made it to California) and, I'm bragging of course, but our complex is the best in the Nation. Our girls never played on fields as nice as ours unless they were at a D1 collegiate camp. We've come a long way, but we still have a long way to go to make our complex perfect. We are adding warm-up areas, a playground for the little ones and eventually more fields, we want to be able to host big tourneys.

We have mixed feelings about the netting from the dugout to the outfields though, a lot of complexes don't have it, many collegiate and many professional fields, especially along the foul lines behind the dugouts. Hardcore fastpitch softballers like ourselves know that there is nothing "soft" about softball, so for now it's "HEADS-UP" at our place. But we are thinking about it.

Opinions are like buttholes everyone has them. I too have coached and played in many states and tournaments and to say that Hubner Ranch is the best in the Nation without seeing all fields is crazy. Is it a nice complex? You Bet!!! Is it the Best in Central TX? You Bet. Is it the Best in the Nation? Nope., You cant have a complex that currently has No warm up area, Limited Parking and Just because your "hard core" a danger zone for kids and spectators when you walk into and out of the complex be the Best in the Nation. I hope this complex does make it and continue to grow into a show place for Big tournaments and College Exposure tournaments. Even if it doesn't I will continue to support this complex as long as the price vs reward is where it needs to be.

Don't get me wrong I am happy to see Central TX have a top notch facility but if you belive this is the best in the Nation then you are not using your head. From a business standpoint asuming your the best even when you are is taking a step backward. Asuming your the best when you aren't is the begining of the end.

For the record I hope I am wrong and I love what you are trying to do.
