DD, No need to post graphic language. And no need to spin this thread into a rant against 'Progressivisim', whatever your definition of that may be. Of course the kids get their attitudes and behaviors from their role models and the media. Just like we did.

There isn't much data that supports the assertion that portrayal of sex in the media is producing more promiscuous behavior among teenagers. In reality, teenage promiscuity is declining:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/27/healt ... .html?_r=0

Teenage pregnancy rates are also (steeply) declining:

http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/hea ... 54140178/1

Pregnancy rates aren't declining due to an increase in abortion either:

https://guttmacher.org/media/nr/2014/02/03/index.html

If you look at the data, abortion rates were highest for our generation, not theirs. Teenage pregnancy spiked for our generation, too. All this hand-wringing is just part of the never ending cycle of shaking a stick at the current generation and telling them to get off our damn lawn.

Of course we could go back to the golden years of Wally and the Beave, when the rate of teenage pregnancy was about three times higher than it is today. A time when wholesome companies like Disney produced innocent entertainment and sometimes highly education science films. That is except for the lemming vignette that you linked, of course. Turns out that neither lemmings, nor our society are going off a cliff:

Please cite a source. LOL
Can't use pregnancy stats to support your theory. Why? Vastly available contraceptives, and the morning after pill, and the Bill Clinton definition of not have sex, and the Harvard method(thanks ATWT). All do not result in pregnancy and abortion. Come on, wake up. MOVE FORWARD!

Maybe it's from holding hands

OK, I'll explain:

The article you cited is titled "STDs on the rise", but nowhere in the article do they cite any evidence for that. They simply state current statistics. If you look at the actual CDC data, the rate of STD infections are decreasing.

No stats needed. The eyeball test says teens act with less morals, class, care for others and so on... This generation is in moral decline can't dispute that.

Who cares what a study shows. Just open your friggen eyes.
