Oh ... you're right. I had State marked on the calendar, but that was State Track, not State Softball. Went to state track meet last year, this year she intends to do both.

Hey thanks Lakers32, appreciate you helping me out here. Big day for our dd - first prom for her - very big softball game for the high school, game finished at around 6 pm - we lost 9-1 - then drive an hour home - she takes off cleats - I thought it would have been cool to wear cleats to the dance, but dd said bad words to me. BF played a big baseball game, unfortunately they lost too - but they both clean up pretty nice.

Sounds like a long day....I have a question Donnie, what hurt more the 9-1 loss or seeing your little girl, looking like a young lady, leave to the prom with BF? I'm not there yet, but I know my day is coming soon. I get emotional just thinking about it.

The loss was tough but she handled it well - I was very proud when she called the girls together out there and told them to keep their heads up and play like the winners they are. The way she is handling this very tough season is making me more proud of her.

Seeing her wash the disappointment out of face (along with the dirt) and dress up - was fun. She's a good kid.
