I had NE in my top picks for Fresno, coming off the Vegas tourney. I'm not at all surprised they did well at States, and wish them well at Nats.

I will always wish Felix and NE well, and here's why:

Last summer when we decided to give TB a shot, I, knowing nothing about TB, decided we'd go to Nemesis Elite's tryout as our first stop in the search for a team. DOH!

We quickly learned that Rec and League All-Star doesn't necessarily mean much when you move to TB, and it wasn't long before DD and I both realized she was in over her head.

She stuck it out all the way through, was constantly encouraged by all the coaches, and in the end, Felix came over and spent some time talking with us. He was upbeat about DD's potential, and turned what might have been a rough, disheartening day for a 12yo kid into a positive experience.

He easily could have brushed us off, sent us packing with a "Sorry, not good enough". But instead he motivated her, and via hard work and determined effort she has been offered starting key positions on every other team she has tried out for.

Any time she starts to tire, or complain that it's too hot to throw an extra 20 pitches, or blah blah blah (you know how kids can be), I simply say "Nemisis Elite" and she's fired up and ready to go.

So say what you will about Felix and NE, (every team has its detractors), we will always respect him and his organization for the little extra effort he took to help a kid who wasn't even going to play for him.

And I'm not saying a similar experience wouldn't be had at numerous other teams, only that for us it wasn't any other team, it was Felix and NE, and so they gained some fans, and we're hoping they kick some serious ass down in Alabama.
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

This is the same organization that brings us the likes of simmerdown and playball? Hard to believe, but I'll take your word for it.
There is no charge for awesomeness

I'm not sure what you mean by "the likes of simmerdown and playball", but it would seem to be derogatory, and a side of the team / organization I've never seen.
