If you are an Angel fan, You have to agree

No, I agree completely. It was time for both of them to part. I was just surprised by everyones response about the good riddance. I don't remember hearing that type of sentiment when Percy left under a similar situation when it was his time to let Frankie take over. Probably one of the most classy things I have seen when Percy wanted to take the picture with K-Rod when he got his 300th save. I just thought I would hear a similar sentiment for a player that was brought up through the Angel organization & had so much success & for someone that was a huge reason why they won the only World Series (Don't tell the Dodger fans they are still trying to deny it :o )

I hear you about the scary part towards the end of the season with K-Rod.

Just my 2 cents.

I know they are trying with Tex, but, I think it comes down to is, he wants to play on the East Coast, so I don't think we have a legit chance to sign him. We made him a great offer. We'll see............

I heard Manny was the interest from Moreno, but the rest of the front office is reluctant. A double edge sword with Manny, but I have seen him knock us out of the playoffs enough times to be willing to take the risk with Scoiscia controlling the club house. The whole 1st base trade was with the intention to let Kendry Morales take the spot if they couldn't sign Tex.

Don't forget this is Scott Boras we are dealing with, just remember what he did to the Dodgers & getting private jets in the deal at the last minute. But with the Red Sox in the mix they have proven they are always willing to break the bank & go over everyone to get what they want. I have to agree that it doesn't look that good though for us Angel fans regarding Tex.

I heard if they can't trade for Jake Peavy they are going to try & sign Randy Johnson. He has been wanting to play for the Angels for a long time, but how old is he now? 45?

I think they need a big bat at 3rd, but not sure if there is anything out there this year. Trade some of that OF with some young talent to upgrade that corner spot.

Manny for three years is much better than paying Texiera $25M in the waning years of his career when he can't produce and he makes too much to trade him. Give Morales, Wood, and Arredondo a chance...save some money and keep our beer prices low.

Good riddance to K-Rod....his act got very old...the pointing and all that crap...just made teams want to beat him even more....his arm is about done and he's the Mets' problem now.

I had forgotten about Woods - time to find out if he is more of a Glaus or a MacPherson. They definitely have tons of talent coming up through the system.

I have to disagree about Tex though. The question about him was how would he handle the post season & he show he could perform...a lot more than Vladdy. I agree with the Angels make that nice 8 year offer & see what happens. The Angels have proven they are willing to stare down Boras & win.

The Angels are out of the bidding for Texeira...they just don't know it yet.
