What's on your mind?

Trust me, My guess on how many of them are still playing in 5yrs would be *maybe* 50%

Enjoy it (and them) when they're young...

DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN 'Whose the best"...

Yup.

Of all the 10U players that went to 10U travel ball from the rec league when DD played, half of them made it to high school ball - none made it to college ball - zilch. They were all pretty good players but they burned out, rather, the parents burned them out.

6 out of the 12 players from my rec 10U All star team are currently finishing their senior college season. They left rec ball for travel ball after their first year of 12U rec. I guess they were ready.

Btw Pale, that was a sweet round-tripper tonight ;)

That was Softball Karma...at about 240 ft ;)

One thing about playing there...You wont see aluminum cans laying around

As far as our 10U...slightly different scenario won 10U and 12U USSSA Nationals in slow pitch...(yeah I know, yuck)
But my kid and one more whose playing JUCO ball out of 12 are only ones who even played HS ball...

My first 10U travel ball team with Ed Naudin - Storm USA/American Athletics
Lauren Chamberlain - Oklahoma - USSSA Pride
Hallie Wilson - Arizona - USSSA Pride
Kylee Lahners - Washiington - Dallas Charge
Emilee Koerner - Notre Dame - Scrapyard Dawgs
Chanin Naudin - Kansas - Mexico National Team
Hailey Balk - Towson
Allison Lang - San Jose State
Jamie Sullivan - Oregon
Katie Denio - CSUMB

Not bad...9 out of 12 players went on to play college softball.

My 8U Rec All stars was also pretty good.
Providence, Princeton, Manhattan, Notre Dame, CSUMB, Illinois, North Carolina State, Western Washington,

1 played D3 tennis at a D3 school

Going to college in itself isnt the question, important...somewhat... Dependent on what they go to college for...

Well JMO, JR certainly beats you

No one has mentioned what division the players played in, until, you-know-who bragged about it. Even twice in one sentence:
1 played D3 tennis at a D3 school

If they don't make $31,200 a year (2080x$15) in their major, there is always flipping burgers at MickyD's
