The actually weight is about an ounce heavier then advertised swing weight, compaired with older models being about 2 ounces heavier than swing weight. Is there any truth to that?
We can't find anyone local that has any in stock, so we are going to have to order.

Is the 2012 rt going to swing a little lighter then the 2005? She is 12 and swinging a 30" and trying to decide on 31" or jumping to 32". She has grown a ton in the last year, now 5'6" and 120 lbs. Great swing, great hand path.

The newer RockeTechs are lighter and swing lighter than the pre-2007 models. However, The actual weight of the RockeTech is as much as 1.5 ounces heavier than their printed swing weight. 1.1 ounces of that weight is in the knob. The weight of the knob is essentially transparent in the swing. So the RockeTech feels heavier when static (not moving) but because of what the placement of the weight does to the MOI (the effort necessary to turn an object about a given axis) the effort necessary to swing it is the same as a bat that is actually much lighter. This is especially true of a trained hitter that has a mechanically sound hand path.
