What olympic sports should go before softball?

Leave all the sports, as each has it's fan base just as rabid as softball fans.

The very idea that sports can / should be dropped from the Olympics is the basis for softball being gone. Whoever came up with that idea is a knucklehead.

If anything, drop the Opening Ceremonies. Every host city is compelled to outdo the previous host, resulting in outlandish extravaganzas that cost more than it would cost to immunize hundreds of thousands of children against curable diseases.

If London really wanted to put on a show, they would fill Wembley with 75,000 kids whose lives they saved and have them sing "Joy to the World".

Beach Volleyball needs to stay too. Especially any match featuring the Brazillian team. Don't press me to choose between Brazillian Beach Volleyball and Softball....

Let's get the Olympics back to its very foundation and eliminate ALL team sports and even team medals in the individual sports. In fact, no medals at all - just olive branches. And, every athlete competes in the nude, just like the ancient Greeks did. Plus, bring back the sacrifices to Zeus in place of the opening ceremonies.
