Actually, you wouldn't be all that alone, but we extend that consideration to the parents as well. We dont have tryouts per se, the way you guys do, we hear of a player, I call around and check on the parents from multiple references, I call coaches as well as kids that I trust and check on the kid, then the kid will play with us a tournament or two, we will watch the kid on the field and on the bench, and watch the parents when the kid is on the field and on the bench. Life's too short - softball's too fun.
