Hockey is a sport.

Figure skating used to be part sport but they removed the compulsory skating before the 92 Olympics and since then it is pure contest.


Races, time trials, if they wanted to see who could jump the highest or the farthest, who could spin the fastest those would be sports. But one person doing one routine and then another person doing a different routine and judges determine who the winner is, that's a contest.

By that definition, softball is not a sport ... See pitchers / pitchers parent. :shock:

Your definition of 'sport' is contrary to every dictionary on the planet ... The BS you're spouting is personal opinion, not fact. But I will concede that some sports requiring athletic ability are "contests". That does not mean they are not a sport.
