Cold Weather Bats?

What's on your mind?

by Rebelwithkidz » Fri May 17, 2019 10:37 pm

My daughter will be playing college ball in an area that is much colder than what we have here in So Cal. Does anyone have any recommendations for bats that perform well in colder weather without breaking?

Been in the Northeast forever- bats are find in cold weather. Hands stinging etc..... that's another issue

DD played in a college game versus Eastern Connecticut state in Willimantic, CT(April 2015) it was 28 degrees once the sun went down

Good to know that it's really not an issue. I had read that bats cracked easily due to the ball being harder in cold weather and that many of them are not recommended for use in temperatures under 45-50 degrees.

If that were the case we’d be SOL here in New England

Bat worked fine for DD vs East Conn. Low thirties at the time. Won first game 20-3. April 2015
