NESCAC(Tufts, Amherst, Williams etc ) Div III has shutdown all spring sports- there have been other programs here in the Northeast that have shut down sports along with the campuses being closed

All the NCAA players should be granted an extra year of eligibility. It’s not fair to them. The media strikes again

My daughter plays at Cal Lutheran University and their season was canceled this morning. 8 Seniors on the team have ended their careers because of this virus.

I would not blame the media on this- just look at the two nba players and what happened at the biogen conference in Boston. I am no alarmist, but it seems to make sense that at least for the short term we try to avoid all large gatherings and avoid contact to at least slow the progress of this virus.

My wife has dozens of cousins in and around Como, Italy and their hospitals are overwhelmed because they acted too late. They have been stuck in their homes now for about a week

It makes sense to be prudent-not panic and be sensible. This thing is going to get worse before it gets better

The Chinese travel ban bought us some time(but we got blindsided by Italy). We need to get more tests out there and have the drive thru testing like Germany and Korea

Just announced an hour ago that my DD's 2020 NCAA season is over as well! I'm suprised they didn't even give it a breath, say a 2-3 week suspension until further details! They just pulled the rug on the season across the board. Dreadful!

Last my DD heard was no activity until the end of the month. Hopefully that doesn't change.

I really feel for the seniors whose teams are done for the season. I hope they get another year of eligibility!!
