Passing of two greats of Softball

Two of my buddies who are softball legends passed recently.

Steve McNee Batbusters, Athletics, and more. Many National Championship. Funnier than heck. One of the guys.

Gary Ferrin long time Head Coach at LMU. Many conference titles and Coach-Of-The-Year awards. Great guy.

We will miss them.

After 4 years watching DD in D1, I've been away from Heybucket. Glad to see someone honor Steve McNee. I was shocked to hear the news. I know he ditched So Cal and headed to Idaho (?). I remember him pridefully showing me a pic of his future home, only sorry he didn't get more time there with his family. Steve had some great stories that he shared with me for 2 years while by daughter played for him with So Cal Athletics. One of the finest "old guys sitting on the bucket" coaches. I wish he got to see my DD play in college.
