Our HS DD uses the RT and loves it. Our college DD uses the PHX with mixed reviews. If any the feedback is fair to good. Team is under contract and has no choice. Not a bad by any means just not as good as some of the other bats she has used. With the new ASA deal on comosite bats the safe bet would be the RT. You should also look at the Force bat as well. We just got in this weekend and first reviews are very impressive.

My DD's have never used a Phenix, we are a RT family. 8-) However, my HS DD has a teammate that was using the Phenix. She appeared to be swinging it well, but not getting a lot of hits with it. Last week she busted out the old RT. BAM 2 for 3! I suspect it was a mental thing more than anything else. Demarini has good products, probably a good bat.

May or may not be a trend (YRMV) but I've seen more than one photo of a Phoenix snapped in half... RT's aren't as popular, maybe due to the size of the company, but they don't break.

That all being said, RT's do ripple, which Anderson claims is part of the breaking in process. I have a 12u player who is swinging a 32" RT (she's a really big kid!) and her bat has a lot of ripples, but the bat can hit 'em. Oh my god does that bat hit 'em!
Being from NorCal, what do I know anyway???

Rocket Techs are no good, don't let your DD's swing them please send me a PM and I will do you a favor and buy that horrible Rocket Tech from you. I need 31's, 32's, 33's and 34's

I know that they aren't worth much but I will even but one of those old crappy 2004 from you.
We are having a party and we need a couple to break the Pinata. sp?

Anecdotal, but DD's friend just got a new Phenix about a month ago (around the same time DD got her new RT). Anyway, DD recently loaned the RT to her for a game. She drilled 3 shots, including a mis-hit that still went to deep center. Afterward she asked her dad if they could buy a RT.

Watching a grown man cry never stops being funny.

That's a question my DD also asked...so she tried both out...then re-phrased the question..."Hey dad, should I use my '05 RT or my '08 RT?" Not only that, but Anderson's got the greatest customer service department...one of the screws/rivets popped in the '05...I sent it to them, they fixed it, and it was back to us within a week....We're RT fans totally....
