Top 15 teams in Califonia

What's on your mind?

by Webgem09 » Wed Apr 16, 2008 11:18 am

With the high school season winding down, softball power ranks these teams in the Top 15:

1 Sutter
2 North
3 Kerman
4 Garces Memorial
5 Madera
6 Escondido
7 Paso Robles
8 Monta Vista
9 Wasco
10 Clovis
11 El Camino Real Senior
12 Gilroy
13 Napa
14 Rodriguez
15 Clovis East

Do you think this seems pretty accurate? Any other great high school teams out there that you think belong on the list?

Nice job Demonboy, I would add Norco High on there as well....Santiago must be on the list....I had seen your list and it seems relatively accurate, I had not seen the other list!

40. El Modena (Orange, Calif.) 9-5-1 (20)

What is the deal with this school? How can you lose 33% of your games and make this list? Were they ranked high early or do they have key player injuries coming back?
The spirit, the will to win, and the will to excel are the things that endure.
These qualities are so much more important than the events that occur.

Strong RPI? :D I don't really know.

Hotweels, Norco is in at 31 nationally. See above.

Sutter is a good team, but only a small school. I think they are the top ranked small school in California.

Simi Valley beat them in the final at Arroyo Grande Tournament 5-1. Sutter's pitcher is Jessica Moore from one of the Sorcerers Gold teams up north.

A couple more good teams from up north are Madera (Fresno) and Bakersfield Centennial with Pitcher Ensley Gammel of Worth Firecrackers (Rico).

I think Norco is way underrated.

I would say Madera and Clovis are the best teams in Central Cali. Centennial has lost games to average teams. Bullard is also a team to watch.

Cen Cal:

Centinnial lost those games after their #1 pitcher went down to a shot to the jaw. Now that she is back watch out.

Do not know where you got those rankings, but they are very skeptical. Student Sport is a better list. The Fresno Bee on Thursday is better for Central Valley teams. Your ranking has to many small schools with little playing depth.
