Thought it interesting these MLB "adults" can't agree on how to protect their million-dollar livelihoods, much less their health, with "safer" wood bats. No way in the pursuit of a few thousand dollars in scholarship money can we be expected to protect our DDs' with safer bats, shoes, etc.

All it will take will be a handful of catastrophic injuries or God forbid, a death. The alphabet assocations will be so scared of lawsuits, they will start banning the "weapons" that the players are using now and the ones that are being designed that are even deadlier. Until then, I am so glad that my daughter is a catcher with a majority of her body covered by protective equipment.

What a bunch of Baloney, Who runs the league? MLB from what I recall. They should be able to make whatever rule they want to make regardless of any union. That's the problem with the unions as they mettle in stuff that has nothing to do with them or what they really should be focusing on.

Can't do drug tests because the union won't allow it. Crazy!! In our business you take a drug test or you don't get hired, period.

Same thing as basketball and NFL, if they set an age rule as to who can and can't play, it's their game, they are the owners, creators of the business, so let them...
