ASA Roster Question

What's on your mind?

by fastpitchrocks99 » Wed May 28, 2008 5:29 pm

Can a player from a different state be added to another team's roster to play in ASA Nationals once her team is eliminated from championship play?

18U Gold can pick-up 3 players for Nationals, but the pick-up players must be from the same "Region" as the team.

Let me see if I understand this. Does it depend on where our team is registered, or where we actually live? Thanks for your help.

Sorry to ask another question about this subject, but I was told that a player can be released prior to Nationals and be added to another team's roster that's in a different association. Is this true?

Our team is playing in our Metro tournament, but probably will not go to ASA nationals even if we qualify. I don't want to get into the reasons why, it will take all night!l

When it comes to an association, what a player does elsewhere isn't their concern. ASA is only going to deal with ASA, not any other association's interests, concerns or rules.
