Actually its 2 of them.......Our area ASA director is useless as teets on a Boar...
1. Pick up players for Nationals When adding the 3 pick-up players for Nationals what are the guide lines? Can they come from any state, country or planet? Do they have to be registered with ASA allready? What restrictions determin if they are legal to play? Can a player play up? (ex: 16u being picked up by a 18u team) Would a player registered on a 16u but only 14yo be able to play for a 14u team?
2. State, Regional & Local ASA Directors
Where do they get these people? Do they go by the mission & hold out fingers indicating how many they need just like the local plumbers do? Is it required that you know mens slowpitch & rec but no understanding of "A" ball is ok? Shoot "B" ball is a challenge for some... Heaven forbid that thay can read. Print out the baned bat list from the web-site for them & they still dont have a clue if a bat is legal or not...no need to read the documentation or listen to 7 umpires & about 150 ppl....there all wrong & your correct....
And people wonder why ASA is dead & burried in most states. With fine outstanding officers like these running the local show its no wonder NSA, USFA, USSSA is looking better & better!
