Need SB advice from experienced ones

I am interested in starting a new team for my DD as she heads into 1st yr 14U this fall. I don't want to run an organization or coach the team. I want to see if an established organization that does not have a team in my DD's age bracket would like to start one with my urging. The organization I have in mind is top-notch and I think would be a good fit for my DD and a few other quality girls that she has played with. What do you think the org. would want from me? In other words, why would they consider this. Do I need to have a plan when approaching them regarding finances, coaching, try-outs, goals, etc. Please give me your experienced opinions on how to approach them.

Just ask them. Many times Organizations don't field teams in a certain age bracket because #1 they didn't have enough players to make a team, or #2 there isn't anyone who wants to coach. If it's the latter, you might want to reconsider about coaching the team.

We did exactly this a couple of years back...new 1st year 14s and approached a few established organizations..the first thing they want to know is who and how experienced is the coaching staff. Next is who and how experienced are your core players. A poor coaching staff is a black eye to quality orgs.
