BAD COACHES STAY AWAY

I had the opportunity to see one of the worst displays of sportsmanship I have ever seen this weekend at the TAFT state tourney in Colleyville Texas.A coach of the Mesquite Jaguars.I wont give his name but if you have ever played his team you will know the head coach I am talking about. He is one of the most out of control coaches I have ever seen on a softball field.He brings his antics to every tourney his team plays in.I hope the parents of his players take notice and find themselves a coach that will not only teach them how to play the game of softball but teach them sportsmanship also.Hopefully these forums will help weed out these bad apples.

I heard the 12u OC Batbusters coach got himself in trouble again at TCS Utah last week. I don't need to name him, he's already a legendary A-hole. Does anybody have the story ?

I have heard from some of his parents that really like him. Bobby Knight was no alter boy and he got the job done.

Every now and then while umpiring I must remind coaches and players that while we may all be part of the show, I get to be the main critic and will not hesitate to bring the curtain down if their antics get out of hand.

I have also heard the OC Batbusters coach say a few choice words to his players. . . . but he
did a very classy thing when Batbusters beat AA's in a very tight game for 2nd and 3rd at TCS. He spoke to the AA's and complimented them on their effort and heart - with tears in his eyes, no less. The AA's girls and coaches were very impressed

It's called the "George Bush" syndrome...When you have no faith in someone and then he shocks you by doing something right you give him more credit than he deserves.
