Can't wait to see 16u National List of teams!!Joke!

What's on your mind?

by DBLUE » Mon Jul 21, 2008 10:44 am

Heard that there will be no pass down berths for some of the largest regions out there!! What a joke, so there is going to be alot of teams that don't deserve to be there. What excuses is this Kentucky director going to have for this debacle??? We are qualified, and will represent the rest of the west coast nicely!! But, there are some teams that should be there, and are getting flat out screwed by this guy. It doesn't matter, west coast will bring it home, even if there are only a few of us going!! Don't be afraid Kentucky man, but here comes the west coast very upset!! Good luck to the midwest teams that should be playing in the rec ball championships!

You heard? Right or wrong, the joke is that you feel compelled to whine about something over which you have no control instead of taking care of your own business.

i am sure the director will do all in his control to help your plight when he sees this... i am sure he is lining up the UIC next.... dont make it worse and put a bigger bullseye on west coasts chest. I am not saying you are wrong about pass downs, I am saying dont be stupid about it either...

good luck to KY

DBLUE, please move off the west coast - you are the only joke here and setting a bad example.

I heard there was a shortage of hotels and only local teams able to stay at home were being given at-large berths.

maybe if you promised to stay in the team RV you'd get one too.

CALI LOVE...........You got to love it..........Win or shut up. I can not believe you people are crying because you are not getting a free pass. Coach 'em up , get new girls, something, but do not cry over not getting something of nothing. Every nationals fills with local teams. They have plenty of hotels.Well at least they will after all the CALI teams that did not QUALIFY have to cancel.

Fact is right or wrong the National TD has the control and has made the decision to pass out all the at large berths to his state and bordering areas. His call, and we all have to live with it. Not the way we would like to see it but that is how ASA has decided to run this type of event. Good Luck to all next week wherever you are.

Quote from another members entry on this site:

berths were distributed as such:

After this final weekend of qualifiers, 128 berths had been awarded since qualifiers started in June. The TD in Owensboro then awarded 7 additional berths to regions geographically touching his own, and the final 3 berths went to teams of his choice, no doubt local teams. No word on who actually received the fill in berths, but we know they weren't CA teams.

Here's your list. Unbelievable!

Roughly 130 teams so far. ONLY 19 from California?

I can't believe what I'm seeing!

Brutal! .... Absolutely Brutal!!! I say we all head to OK City and picket ASA Headquarters.

Has there ever been a bigger injustice in the history of mankind?
