What's on your mind?

by The Viking » Mon Jan 14, 2008 7:56 pm

Just curious if anybody out there in the softball world has ever heard of lead tape?Could it be used to make a bat endloaded?and just one more question:Is it illegal to have tape at the end of a bat near the end cap?

Speaking ASA, NFHS, NCAA, ISF and probably every other softball and baseball rule sets, yes.

I'm probably going way out on a limb here, but what about just buying an end-loaded bat?
There is no charge for awesomeness

Just to clarify the issue, there was a team that had some tape around the end of a bat.

Which is fine . . . as long as it is the thin end of the bat :D

Seems like it falls under the definition of altered bat. Don't try it in sanctioned play. Umps will confiscate the bat until play is over.
