Yep, 'ceptin' of course that Coach G will think it's a dinker to 2nd.

So of course we'll soon be treated to yet another rendition of his, ummm...argument (the actual substance of which is still a bit murky to me, except for the "if you're not a total stud you shouldn't even be allowed to watch travel ball" part). Hence the age-old conundrum... ;)
There is no charge for awesomeness

what about the simple fact that rec season is 5-6 weeks long and consists of 12-15 games at most? Some kids want to spend their Saturday at the park playing ball as long as they can? And if they are playing teams in the same skill level whats the harm? Some kids play A ball, some play B ball, Some play low B/C.

Being on a TB team is more of a family than the rec ball season where every season teams change.

Travel ball doesnt have to be so "elite". The more I think about it, the more stuck up it sounds

Exactly Judd...When my DD's 10U Little League all star team lost in the states to a team made up of girls that played as close to year-round as you can do in WV, she decided that she wanted to play year-round too. That season was the year things started "clicking on" for her, and it was a natural progression IMHO. I had already started thinking about it, but when she brought it up before I said anything, it made me feel better about us deciding to do it.
Proud fastpitch, baseball, volleyball, soccer, basketball, etc. Dad :)

For some reason ;) I decided to peruse some old posts.
