Most Prestigious Championship?

What's on your mind?

by GSB » Sat Jan 03, 2009 9:34 pm

Ok, I am new at this manager thing and have a few questions for you experts.

1) What is the most prestigious (12u) Softball Championship? I have been told, ASA Nationals by many coaches/managers and Tripple Crown World Series of Softball by many coaches/managers.

2) Is it my imagination or is the friendly thing a little unorganized? I have been searching for friendlies (12U) for February and March. Only a few posts even mention any that far in the future.

3) Where can I find, "true" team rankings? I find many different rankings (even one on this site) but most include friendly games and some even forget teams exist. In one ranking I found a team ranked 1st even though the team ranked 3rd beat them twice in tournaments. LOL

4) Where can I find the ASA contracts? They are not on the ASA web site.

5) So far this web site is one of the best I have found. Are there any others I should know of?

Anyway, any help/advice you guys/gals can give me is very appreciated.
To each their own.

1-Go to the ASA meeting on 1-31. Lots of info about tourneys and friendlies.
2-If you are a new team your probably not going to ASA/USA in 2009
3- Set your goal at Triple crown / Utah or Western Nationals
4-Send a PM(personal message) to "Clean up"...she knows all things 12U

Sounds like you are running a young team.

1) Whichever one you can win.
2) Friendlies are well-organized scrimmages. You will see them advertised on the other site.
3) Don't worry about rankings...focus on making your team better.
4) No such thing as a contract. SoCal ASA Player Agreements are available after the managers meeting or at the meeting if you attend. You must fully register your team to get them. They are worth the paper they are printed on. SoCal ASA will allow player movement until ASA Championship Rosters are signed and turned in.
5) Just the other site.
