if a player plays in soc al on varsity team as a freshman...then in sophmore yearr, transfers out of state and plays varsity ball....could player return this year , junior year and play varsity ball back in socal at original school. some say its illegal and player would have to play jv junior year then senior year can play varsity. some say it doesnt matter...and does player need to still live in school area?

yes. You need to do 2 things. Prove the change in residency and the school transcripts from the out of state school. I only know this because my niece did it before. As long as it's not in the same school year.

If the parents and the player moves, you should be OK. If the player only moves, then she would not be able to play Varsity the year she moves back. We went through this with my son.
